- Manage inventory levels accurately, perform regular physical inventory checks to prevent stock-outs or overstock situations, and ensure proper storage to avoid spoilage or loss
- Coordinate with procurement team to replenish stock as per operational requirements timely
- Highlight any non-moving/slow-moving/near-expiry material in time to the concerned department
- Implement industry-specific inventory management practices. (FIFO, LIFO)
- Coordinate with vendors for timely replenishments and receive incoming goods as per procedures
- Inspect received goods as per highest quality standards and quantities against purchase orders; evaluate for any damages or discrepancies. Document and report any concerns to the departments.
- Ensure all items are stored according to health, hygiene and safety regulations, preventing damages / spoilage
- Ensure organization of the store areas and utilize shelving systems and labelling for efficient retrieval.
- Understand the lead time required for each SKU and accordingly process requests and requisition of goods, in consultation with the business concerned
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, withdrawals, and returns
- Input data into the inventory management system and reconcile physical inventory with records periodically
- Conduct regular quality checks on stored goods, to ensure adherence as per highest standards
- Identify and report any quality issues or discrepancies
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while handling goods, including proper use of equipment and PPE
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations for storage and handling of materials
- Coordinate with internal teams such as Logistics / FC&A, to ensure smooth operations and timely fulfilment of orders
- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding deliveries and returns
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on store equipment and facilities, to ensure they are in appropriate working condition. Report any maintenance issues or repair requirements to managers
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in inventory management and store operations
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent field.
- Additional certification in Inventory Management or related field is preferred
- At least 7+ years of work experience in handling store operations for technical goods
- Work experience in hospitality / service or a retail organization is preferred.
- Hands on experience with ERP platforms
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar role, preferably in a retail or warehouse environment
- Proficiency in inventory management software e.g., SAP and MS Office suite (e.g., Excel, Word)
- Adequate job knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse setup
- Efficient organizational skills, with attention to detail and focus on accuracy
- Own accountability, due to direct impact on operating costs and supply chain efficiency
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
