If youre ready to create meaningful change and build your future, CIBC India is where your ambition meets opportunity.What Youll Be Doing (position summary):The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing and executing manual and automated test scenarios and scripts for system integration and acceptance testing of banking platforms, in compliance with established controls and standards The role collaborates with business analyst and development teams to ensure quality deliverables, analyzes test results, and provides actionable insights to stakeholders The Quality Engineer also contributes to process improvement initiatives and maintains quality metrics, supporting the continuous improvement of testing practices within the organizationAt CIBC India we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (including on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.How Youll Succeed (responsibilities):Experience: 3+ years of experience.

Participate in requirements and design reviews to provide feedback from a quality perspective.
Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business.
Develop and maintain test suites (manual/automated).
Develop and maintain test scripts using scripting languages.
Execute test cases, document test results, raise defects, and collaborate with technology and business teams for resolution.
Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and quality metrics reporting.
Provide advice to team members, including ongoing feedback, support, and mentorship.
Proactively identify potential issues throughout all test phases and suggest improvements or enhancements.
Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a projects timeline or success and provide regular status updates.
Ensure all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to project timelines, and goals.
Maintain strong attention to detail and organizational skills Collaborates with software developers to build automated solutions and resolve defects.
Works closely with business stakeholders and technology partners to ensure testing requirements are understood and met.
Communicates with test coordinators and other cross-functional teams to provide updates and escalate issues as needed.

As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Scope includes testing and support for various banking platforms and projects within Core Banking and Payments Technology.
Responsible for supporting quality assurance across multiple lines of business and various geographies as assigned.

Who You Are (skills/qualifications):Must Have Skills:

3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering or equivalent technical role, preferably within the banking sector.
Good knowledge of QE Processes, Testing Life Cycle, SDLC, and Defect Management processes.
Understanding of debugging and analyzing code logs and development techniques.
Programing language: Python.
UI Scripting: (Selenium/Playwright).
API Testing: (SOAP/Rest).
Ability to build automated testing scripts and integrate with DevOps tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Collaboration and teamwork skills.
Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with emerging technologies and regulatory developments.
Experience with test management tools (eg, JIRA, HP ALM).

Good to have Skills:

Hands-on experience with test automation tools (eg, Robot framework, Parasoft SOAtest, Postman, Cucumber) for testing REST API and Web Services.
Working experience with Java, and SQL database skills.
