The team you work with supports an application responsible of the publication of regulated index benchmarks and requires high degrees of automated testing to support any change.What You’ll DoAs a Senior Automation Engineer, you’ll build with purpose — solving real-world problems with measurable impact.Come in with a positive attitude and be willing to learn the software design and patterns that make up a legacy application and design, develop, and maintain complex testing tools to assure the quality of large, critical application. Develop and maintain automated tests - both functional and non-functional - that guaranteeing service is scalable, maintainable and secure. Proactively assist with issue triaging, resolving issues, deducing root causes, and help implement timely fixes or workarounds. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, Software Engineers around the globe to deliver outstanding products. Ensure that the output of test tools provides clear reporting to customers. As an SDET, you would be encouraged to provide L3 production support and solve issues efficiently, minimizing impact on the business operations. Analyze incidents, identify root causes and implement preventive measures.QualificationsDegree or equivalent experience.8+ years of experience in Software Development, systems design and automation testing. You must be ambitious, dedicated and most meaningfully hard-working for perfection and quality in the products you build and deliver.Required Skills· Excellent Problem-Solving skills and communication skills.· Ability to convert business use cases and problems into technical test solutions.· Shown history of being accountable for the overall quality of the product and services within that product.· Experience in working closely with the development team to ensure high quality solutions.· Demonstrates a can-do demeanor, exhibits self-confidence, and work independently.· Strong knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., C#, JavaScript, Angular, Shell scripting) for creating automated tests.· Experience in CI/CD tools & automation e.g., Jenkins/GitLab/similar DevOps tooling.· Experience with Functional and Non-functional testing including performance, scalability and security testing.· Experience with test scenario and test data preparation.· Experience in working on data analytics and data focused projects.· Good communication skills both verbal and written.· Strong teammate, problem solver, a self-sufficient individual with an ability to constructively address issues.· Proven experience in:o Automated testingo Relational DB e.g. (SQL server /Oravle/Postgres SQL)o DevOps (CI/CD) frameworks such as Gitlab/Jenkinso BDD testing frameworks such as TestRailExperience we value:· Experience in financial services with an understanding of financial market data would be helpful.Hands-on Experience in Cloud Technologies (Preferably AWS)· Level 3 production support.· ISTQB Foundation in Software Testing· Software Development Engineer in Test foundation level (or equivalent)· Familiarity with technologies such as:JIRA Datadog SeleniumPersonal traits you should have:
