As a Software Engineer, develop and maintain applications. You are expected to make an impact right from the start. Under the direct supervision of the Manager, you are responsible for working on technology projects alongside global/ local teams or any other assigned projects from time to time and drive business results. You should adhere to all Invesco development standards. The ability to communicate with both business users and IT professionals is a must.You Will Be Responsible For:
- Complete all tasks related to analysis, development, unit testing and implementation in accordance with the technology development life cycle
- Perform troubleshooting, analysis and resolution of critical applications and batch process issues
- Conform to documentation, coding and quality standards as defined
- Review, discuss, and work within agreed timeframes and provide feedback to managers on any variances arising as tasks are performed
- Prepare all necessary documentation and processes to enable ongoing support of the systems
- Communicate with internal and external customers, supervisors and management using clear, user-friendly terminology (emails, phone, meetings, etc.)
- Minimum 6 years of proven systems development experience in information technology
- Minimum 4 years of proven systems development experience in AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, CFT, Cloud Watch..etc), Snowflake or MS SQL server, DBT and Python.
- Micro Services / Rest APIs using Python (FASTAPI)
- Good understating of Agile
- Experience with continuous integration (Bitbucket Pipelines, Flyway, Fortify, WhiteSource) is added advantage
- React JS (Next UI) is added advantage
- Experience with unit tests is added advantage
- Batch control applications such as AutoSys, UAC etc.., is added advantage
- Fundamentals of the investment processes
- Process and data flow of Equity Trading, Compliance and understanding of different instrument types is added advantage
