Job Category: Healthcare AuditingJob Description:Lead Assistant Manager - Coding Auditor is responsible for managing coding audit operations, leading teams, and ensuring delivery excellence. This role involves overseeing audit quality, driving performance improvements, and ensuring compliance with coding and payer guidelines. The LAM collaborates with stakeholders, develops strategies for quality enhancement, and manages reporting and KPIs. Additionally, the role requires strong leadership, decision-making, and process optimization capabilities.Responsibilities:

Lead training sessions on current coding-Audit for Multiple specialties.
Develop curriculum and training handbook.
Create presentations.
Perform quality assurance reviews to assess comprehension of training efforts.
Organize and participate in Coding-Audit meetings.
Review and respond to coding questions.
Research updated coding information.
Conduct coding reviews and training programs to assure coding quality.
Ensure billed service is being accurately coded.
Perform random chart audits.
Hold regular meetings to communicate new findings.
Perform analysis of benchmarking profiles.
Provide continual coding and payer updates.
Research coding issues that arise.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences / Nursing / Paramedical or related field.
Active State Nursing License (mandatory).
Certifications: CPC / CCS / CPMA (mandatory).
8-10 years of experience in medical coding with strong auditing background.
Extensive experience in multi-specialty coding (Surgery preferred).
Proven experience in team management and operations leadership.
Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and payer guidelines.
Experience in quality management, reporting, and KPI tracking.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of compliance standards (HIPAA, CMS, OIG).
