As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you'll own the growth marketing for multiple areas within a broader function at PhonePe. - Own the entire acquisition strategy and marketing activities, driving performance marketing through various channels like Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and Preburn Partnerships. You'll also be responsible for ensuring tech product integrations for last-click attribution and event tracking for CPX optimization.
- Collaborate closely with business and product teams to understand problems and translate them into clear problem statements.
- Work regularly with analytics, marketing product, design, compliance, and finance to ensure end-to-end planning, reporting, management, and execution.
- Partner with the analytics team to generate new insights and conduct research to identify new problems. You'll use your understanding of performance channel capabilities and limitations to suggest realistic solutions with a clear ROI and impact analysis.
- Use your strong communication and negotiation skills for vendor selection, management, and pricing decisions. You must be assertive in communicating our requirements to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Apply a strong problem-solving mindset and the right analytical approaches to all your work.
- Influence stakeholders across various functions to drive initiatives and data-driven decision-making.
- Be an integral part of the team's strategy and go beyond being a marketing counterpart.
- Engineering or MBA graduate from a Tier 1 college.
- 0-2 years of experience in performance marketing or any analytical role.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A strong business acumen and a curiosity about how products work.
- An understanding of attribution mechanisms, event tracking, product integrations, and optimization frameworks.
- A basic understanding of data structure, storage, and flow across engineering systems to manage product integrations and make appropriate requests with the analytics team.
- Understanding of performance marketing principles, the law of diminishing returns, and elasticity.
- Experience with A/B testing frameworks and time series analysis.
- Experience running campaigns on Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, or iOS search Ads.
- Experience using third-party attribution tools such as Appsflyer, Singular, or Adjust.
- Experience in affiliate marketing and ad fraud prevention.
