- Carry out quarterly planning process with the scientists/SDEs on the team
- Own plans for high visibility initiatives for improving the precision of search results, and drive towards them
- Drive mechanisms like flashes and monthly business reviews
- Maintain collaborations across business and country teams, driving competing priorities
- Own experimentation velocity for the team, and find avenues for improving the overall throughput of experiments
- Influence overall strategy to improve search relevance
The Amazon Search Relevance team creates customer focused search solutions for powering Amazon search worldwide. The Search Relevance-L0 team in the Matching relevance and Early stage ranking org owns the responsibility of improving the precision of search results in all Amazon locales worldwide (22 locales and growing!). The team is also responsible for the secondary language search in all locales worldwide (e.g., Spanish language search on amazon.com). The team owns, innovates on, and builds language models to estimate relevance of tens of thousands of products to each customer query, within a budget of few milliseconds of latency.Basic Qualifications- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedulesPreferred Qualifications- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
