- Serve as the primary administrator for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O platform, ensuring optimal system performance, security, and availability.
- Manage user access, security roles, and permissions in compliance with internal controls, segregation of duties, and audit requirements.
- Monitor and maintain system performance, scheduled batch jobs, and key operational processes to ensure uninterrupted financial operations.
- Configure, customize, and deploy forms, views, workflows, and packages to meet evolving business and compliance requirements.
- Lead and support data-related activities, including imports, validations, reconciliations, and data integrity initiatives using D365 data management tools and Excel add-ins.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex functional and technical issues, collaborating with internal IT teams and external vendors to implement long-term solutions.
- Manage and support system integrations (e.g., payroll, expense, banking, reporting tools) by monitoring data flows, resolving integration errors, and optimizing integration performance.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute user acceptance testing, patch validations, and production release rollouts, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Maintain and enhance a comprehensive knowledge base, including process documentation, configuration records, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate closely with finance leadership, business process owners, and IT teams to align system capabilities with organizational needs and regulatory requirements.
- Stay current on Microsoft D365 Finance updates, roadmap items, and new functionality, proactively assessing their potential impact and value to the organization.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process and system improvements to enhance efficiency, data quality, and user experience.
- Support and maintain Power BI and other business intelligence platforms to ensure reliable reporting and analytics delivery.
- Partner with finance and operations teams to design, develop, and optimize dashboards, reports, and analytics strategies that drive data-informed decision-making.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a centralized data lake and reporting framework to enable enterprise-wide analytics capabilities.
- Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of reporting environments in coordination with operational and technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
- 5–7 years of experience administering and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (or Dynamics AX), with demonstrated expertise in system configuration, security, and optimization.
- Strong understanding of core financial processes including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets
- Proven hands-on experience with D365 F&O user administration, security role design, workflow configuration, environment management, and performance monitoring.
- Working knowledge of system integrations and data interfaces (e.g., APIs, batch jobs, connectors), with the ability to monitor and troubleshoot data flows across systems.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience using D365 data management tools; exposure to Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI) is an advantage.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve functional and technical issues.
- Experience documenting support procedures, known issues, and configuration changes.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, and external vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a dynamic environment with moderate supervision.
- CRO or life sciences experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in technical design and creating high-level design artifacts.
- Design, develop, and deploy custom D365 F&O solutions, including configurations, customizations, high quality code deliverables and integrations.
- Understanding of best practices in development, version control and deployment methodologies.
- Proficiency in X++ and Power Platform technologies.
- Experience with integration tools such as Azure, Power Automate, and third-party APIs.
- Ability to proactively support end users and foster positive working relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with a structured and detail-oriented approach to system tasks and documentation.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving business and technical requirements.
