  • Provide technical support within the Operations Center to include proactive and reactive incident resolution
  • Ensure the quality and delivery of technical operations supporting the business is in accordance with agreed standards
  • Provide technical support by collaborating with systems analysts, developers, business analysts, and project teams
  • Perform proactive reviews of system performance metrics, logs, and alerts to ensure event correlation and trend analysis are performed on a regular basis
  • Provide server and infrastructure support including installation, patching, upgrading, maintenance, and QA of systems per Ferguson standards.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of inventory data for all servers.
  • Manage server and service configuration per ticket requests.
  • Perform weekly checks on system memory, CPU, disk, NFS, and NTP and fix according to policy.
  • Write, execute, and peer review Infrastructure Operations playbooks.
  • Ensure team documentation is populated with resolutions, workarounds, known issues.
  • Keep up to date with the technologies that are relevant to our work.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support after hours issues and planned work
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Minimum of 6 years of IT administration experience.
  • BA or BS degree preferred.
  • Solid experience with the following technologies: Vmware, Windows, Windows Server, Veritas netbackup, Nutanix, HPE OneView, Azure, PowerShell, SCCM, Azure Update Manager, and Active Directory.
  • Recent experience and proficiency with Cloud computing platforms, such as Azure, Oracle Cloud, and GCP or AWS.
  • Experience with installation, configuration, patching, and support for Windows & Linux environments.
  • Experience in an enterprise level production data center environment managing enterprise class servers.
  • Experience in proactively supervising system health and reacting accordingly.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment and independently.
  • Solid ability to manage time appropriately and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in adhering to instructions, while also applying acquired knowledge to exceed those instructions when required.
