- Foster the culture of Continuous Improvement and process excellence to optimize the Raw Material
- Champion process, practices and cost-effective leadership across the organization
- Create, manage and support implementation of Business Continuity plan by ensuring strong knowledge management, back-up planning, and process governance.
- Continually evaluate the process and look for an opportunity to improve service, cost and collaboration across the organization.
- Collaborate and Partner with Supplier and Sourcing to develop right pricing strategy
- Ensure that ERP, optimization and analytical tools etc. are used to drive process leadership within the organization
- Build relationship with various function of the organization to improve and partner with GIC Sr. Manager – Materials Management Capabilities, GIC SC on process and systems
- Identify replenishment process gaps, communicate to required business partners, and acquire information needed to eliminate gaps in material replenishment performance.
- This individual would be expected to drive the development and execution of ordering strategies for raw materials
- Manage inbound and outbound planning for raw materials through warehouse. Manage the age process for raw materials. Ensure all the operational challenges are resolved.
- Collaborate with Sourcing buyers and brand planners to develop and implement order target quantity and get alignment from Sourcing and operating units.
- Develop target quantities for raw materials and track the order quantities against the target quantity.
- Ensure the team Provide RMWO risk assessment and recommendations to reduce write offs for specific operating units.
- Manage and execute packaging transition, vendor transition, new product launch projects on a timely manner.
- Develop RM tie out plans for packaging projects proactively and communicate the risk and mitigation plans to the operating units.
- Yearly revisit of Pricing & Consolidation strategy and business process to evaluate the current process to meet business needs
- Partner with Inbound Analytics and R&A team to build tools to optimize the Raw Materials
- Implementing new technologies initiated by General Mills and staying alert to new trends in this sector
- Innovative ideas/ analysis/ strategies/ tools to meet ever changing business needs.
- Set directions, align and motivate team members to achieve functional /organizational goals and objectives
- Manage team member’s professional, personal and social development through Individual Development Plan, Performance Appraisal, etc. available within HR resources.
- Develop future Leaders and build succession planning
- Performance Appraisal (PA) and Talent Management:
- Hiring & Retention: Ensure/Manage Hiring process for new personnel is followed and roll out retention strategies to retain key talent
- Create a pool of SME’s to manage business question or risks
- Education – Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
- Bachelors or Master Degree
- Not Mandatory but good to have - CSCMP, APICS, SIX SIGMA or equiv. Project Management
- Minimum 5-10 Years of Experience in Supply Chain
- 5+ years in people management role, 5+ years overall supply chain experience
- In depth knowledge of Supply planning concepts and expertise in end to end planning optimization.
- Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain planning processes.
- Knowledge of various supply planning and system performance KPI’s and metrics
- Ability to navigate the organization across all levels to drive improvements in planning.
- Demonstrated project and change management skills.
- Strong technical and process leadership on supply planning.
- Deep business knowledge and industry experience.
- Executive presence - Ability to interact with cross functional leaders and present and challenge new ideas.
- Strong conceptual and creative problem-solving skills, ability to work with considerable ambiguity.
- Ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with broad cross section of business partners across the globe
- Experience in management of collaboration, issue resolution, and performance improvement. Experience in working with cross functional leaders in a matrix organization – Global exposure preferred
