Job Title : Electrical Engineer - LV & AutomationIndustry: EPC Contracting | Turnkey Projects | Oil & Gas | Data Centres | Infrastructure | Electrical Panels | Industrial AutomationExperience: Minimum 10 YearsLocation: Head Office & Project Sites (as per requirement)Role Overview :The role involves complete responsibility for design, engineering, execution, commissioning, and team leadership, delivering end-to-end electrical and automation solutions from concept to final project handover.Key Responsibilities :Electrical Design & Engineering :- Design and engineering of LV switchgear panels including PCC, MCC, PLC Panels, VFD Panels, and Automation Panels.- Preparation and review of Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Power Schematics, Control Wiring Diagrams, Interlocking Logic, and GA drawings.- Selection, sizing, and specification of electrical components such as ACB, MCCB, MCB, Contactors, Relays, VFDs, SMPS, etc.- Ensure compliance with IEC / IS standards, statutory requirements, and client specifications.- Coordinate with the panel manufacturing team for wiring, internal testing, FAT, and quality compliance.Industrial Automation (PLC / SCADA)- Strong understanding of PLC hardware wiring, I/O allocation, marshalling, and panel integration.- Knowledge of PLC control logic, sequencing, interlocks, alarms, and safety logic.- Experience with SCADA system architecture, signal mapping, alarm configuration, and communication protocols.- Coordinate with PLC/SCADA programmers for logic development, testing, and site integration.- Perform loop checking, I/O testing, and provide commissioning support at site.Project Execution & Commissioning:- Provide engineering and execution support during installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.- Coordinate with EPC teams, clients, consultants, and other engineering disciplines.- Preparation, review, and finalization of as-built drawings, test reports, and technical documentation.- Address technical queries promptly and resolve site issues efficiently.Team Leadership & Management :- Lead and manage a team of junior engineers, designers, and technicians.- Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality and timely delivery of engineering outputs.- Guide, mentor, and technically support team members in design, wiring logic, and automation concepts.- Actively support the team in resolving complex technical challenges.Required Skills & Knowledge- Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems and switchgear.- Expertise in power and control wiring design.- Hands-on experience with PLC/SCADA automation systems.- Clear understanding of PLC wiring logic and control philosophy.- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control narratives.- Good coordination, communication, and leadership skills.Preferred Qualifications- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.- Experience in Electrical and Automation Panel Manufacturing.- Exposure to EPC / turnkey project environments (Oil & Gas, Data Centres, Infrastructure preferred).
