- Develop and maintain PLC programs for Water Mist fire suppression control systems.
- Implement control logic for system operation, monitoring, and fault handling.
- Configure system monitoring, alarms, and user interface logic (HMI).
- Integrate PLCs with sensors, actuators, and field devices.
- Implement and maintain communication protocols between system components.
- Support system commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting in lab and on-site.
- Participate in system validation and functional testing activities.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical engineers and testing personnel to ensure correct system behavior.
- Support FMEA and risk analysis from a controls and software perspective.
- Maintain software documentation, version control, and test records.
- Support sourcing, validation, and qualification of electrical and electronic components.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety standards and fire system regulations.
- Propose improvements to control strategies to enhance performance and reliability.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial control systems.
- Experience in Fire Suppression industry is a plus.
- Proven experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or equivalent).
- Experience with system monitoring, alarms, and basic HMI/SCADA concepts.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, etc.).
- Experience with system commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of safety systems and regulated environments is an advantage.
- Structured, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to testing locations, suppliers and other sites as required.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a cross-functional environment.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and 365.
