- Guide investment decisions, capital structure, and financial risk management initiatives.
- Advise the CEO and Board on financial matters, including strategic growth opportunities, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor financial performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), benchmarking, and trend analysis.
- Translate financial insights into strategic recommendations and operational improvements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process in coordination with department heads.
- Develop robust financial models to support forecasting, scenario planning, and resource allocation.
- Track budget performance and recommend corrective actions to meet financial targets.
- Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds to support business operations.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions and optimize capital
- Implement strategies to improve receivables, payables, inventory, and liquidity management.
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial risks, ensuring sound internal controls and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and financial standards (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
- Ensure financial and operational transparency across all levels of the organization.
- Financial Operations Oversight
- Lead the finance, accounting, taxation, treasury, and audit functions with a focus on operational excellence.
- Establish standardized financial policies, systems, and procedures to ensure consistent, accurate reporting.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and integrity.
- Operational Optimization
- Partner with operations and other departments to analyse cost structures and drive efficiency initiatives.
- Support strategic procurement, supply chain management, and process improvements with financial insights.
- Align resource planning and capital expenditures with operational priorities and ROI.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team to support the company’s growth and agility.
