· Take full ownership of the system architecture for next-gen BMS system - defining how batteries, PCS, EMS, PPC, TMS, IMD, cloud systems, and other interfaces come together.· Turn ambitious product visions into clear, detailed system requirements that guide engineering, design, and manufacturing teams.· Evaluate current and upcoming technologies to provide practical architectural solutions that optimize cost, reusability, robustness and reliability across platforms while reducing development effort and cost.· Lead system-level design reviews, spot integration gaps early, and drive technical decision-making at vehicle level.· Define interface contracts across all major subsystems (BMS, EMS, PCS, Connectivity, TMS, IMS, BDU) - ensuring we ship reliable, scalable platforms.· Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Sales and Marketing, hardware, Firmware, software and testing teams to build, integrate, validate, and launch.· Create and own system documentation - architecture diagrams, interface definitions, failure analyses, and traceability.· Dig deep into functional safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance, ensuring our the toughest standards.· Be hands-on during BESS prototype builds, integration testing, and root-cause problem solving - you won't just sit behind a desk.· Mentor, train, and coach engineering teams on technical intricacies related to system designQualificationsYou must have any or a combination of any of the following skills:· B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics· 8-12 years of deep experience in EV system engineering, vehicle integration, BESS integration, or platform architecture, preferably in BESS or HV EVs, or high-performance mobility startups.· Solid technical grounding in:o RTOS (FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS, YactoLinux)o Battery management systems (BMS)o Knowledge of PCS, EMS, BDU, TMM, IMD integrationo C /C++, Matlab & Simulink, Python hands on experienceo HMI and user appo BMS, PCS, PPC, EMS and MESA protocolso CAN bus, Modbus, diagnostics, and basic cybersecurity principles.o Experience using tools like Vector CANalyzer/CANoe, DOORS/Polarion, Simulink, and system modeling software.o Exposure to functional safety frameworks (IEC, UL) and homologation (IEC standards preferred).o Design using UML conceptso A track record of building and shipping real or major platforms - from prototype to production.o Startup DNA - bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, relentless focus on outcomes.o Collaborate with the cross-functional teamso Mentor & influence the team through the demonstration of depth of knowledgeo Continuously update to the state-of-the-art and strong appetite for learning
