- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in administration of DB2 UDB, Partitioning and HA for databases
- Should have minimum 8 years of hands on experience in Instance, DB creation and setting up backup using TSM and troubleshooting DB2 UDB issues in Development / Test / Production environments (analyzing db2diag.log / notification log / memory tracker / db2pd and etc.)
- Proven experience in SQL (knowledge of DDL, DML) especially in the database administration and management
- Experience in applying patches, Backup and Recovery using TSM, online and offline back-ups, export/import is mandatory
- Worked on UNIX and supporting DB2 on UNIX, UNIX shell and awk scripting and Windows
- Working experience in performance tuning experience, including SQL, DB and DBM, reading explain plans
- Responsible for installation of DB2 client and other DB2 related products
- Ability to independently analyze requirements based on a given specification
- Experience in Disaster Recovery solutions including designing, configuring and ongoing support is preferred
- Knowledge of Enterprise backup solutions is preferred
- Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals.
- Ability to manage change and be open to it good time management and an ability to work under stress
- Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
- Adhere to ITIL processes and ability to work in PROD, DEV, TEST and QA environments.
- On call troubleshooting experience.
- Should have good understanding of DPF
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in Monitoring, Configuration and Installation on all Unix or Windows OS
- In depth knowledge of HACMP/HADR backup/restore, cloning.
- Extensive experience in TSM Infrastructure. Knowledge on Storage and Network configuration
- Strong experience with Database and SQL Performance tuning as per application requirement. -Mandatory
