You should have 15-20 years' experience of technology project / product delivery to meet the needs of our expanding portfolio of Financial Services clients. Responsibilities The candidate will be expected to lead a team of engineers and will take complete ownership of delivery and ongoing maintenance (RTB) of a software product with high quality, optimised cost and using best of class technical and engineering practices. The candidate is expected to be well versed in principles of and best practices in software delivery life cycle (SDLC) and should be able to apply them within the boundaries and constraints of the project they work in. The candidate will have a strong focus on software quality, productivity, and delivery. The candidate should be able to lead independent conversations with right stakeholders (internal and external), to design & deliver software components and subsystems based on the requirements and specifications provided by the Business Analysts/Product Managers. The candidate should be well versed and be able to create delivery plans (high level, mid level, low level) to provide clarity on sequencing and progress of delivery life cycle. Mandatory Skills / Experience First hand experience in setting up, running and delivering mid size software projects with optimal cost, high quality and solutions which meets business needs. Experience in creating delivery plans and managing ongoing issues and risks to the delivery. Experience in bringing transparency through effective communication & governance structure. Experience in working with teams across time zones and locations, ability to navigate cultural and other nuisances. Leading teams' size of 20-40 people Experience in working with various technology stakeholders (Arch, Engineering, Infra, Cybersecurity etc), business teams (commercial, sales, Operations, Client services, Change Management) as well as 3rd party (vendors, clients, partners) Strong understanding of various phases of SDLS, and experience in delivering project in Agile / Iterative methodology Experience & exposure to nonfunctional aspects of software, postproduction, incident resolution, problem management, proactively managing technology obsolescence as well as cyber security concerns. Strong interest in system designs, design patterns, various application architecture awareness Team management skills including hiring, talent management, performance management. Strong ethical and professional conduct Desirable Skills Understanding of capital market Inclination to understanding data and be able to make data driven decisions. Exposure to front end technology (React etc) and middleware architecture patterns. Exposure to async solutions, data base technologies, streaming solution Experience working with vendors and / or software providers. Technology Exposure Java 8. Solid software design skills. Springboot. Microservices. Able to decompose their development tasks based on their designs and provide development estimates. Understanding of multi-threading. Understand and write performant, testable and maintainable code. Experience of Test-Driven Development.
