Position Overview: The Director of Software Development will play a key leadership role in shaping and executing our technology strategy. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of our software applications, ensuring they align with business objectives, meet high-quality standards, and contribute to the overall success of the company. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: . Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the application development strategy in alignment with overall business objectives. . Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge. Team Leadership: . Lead and mentor high-performing teams of application developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. . Establish and communicate clear expectations for performance, accountability, and professional development. Project Management: . Oversee the full software development life cycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. . Implement and refine project management methodologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Quality Assurance: . Define and implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software applications. . Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure and improve the performance of the development team. Collaboration: . Work closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of applications into the overall technology ecosystem. . Foster effective communication and collaboration between development teams and other departments. Qualifications: . Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. . Proven experience (10+ years) in a leadership role overseeing application development teams. . Strong understanding of software development methodologies, best practices, and emerging technologies. . Demonstrated success in delivering complex software projects on time and within budget. . Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. . Experience in strategic planning and execution. . Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
