Job Description : Inventory Mitigation – Raw Materials (Castings, Forgings, and Other Standard Components)Objective :
Lead and Support inventory mitigation initiatives aimed at optimizing raw material stock levels categorized under Excess & Obsolete inventory with a specific focus on raw materials Castings, Forgings, and other Standard components, and working capital without compromising production continuity.Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze inventory data under obsolete and excess raw materials, particularly in castings, forgings and other standard components.
- Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, production planning, and engineering teams to validate inventory disposition strategies.
- Coordinate with suppliers for consumption of RM's at inventory buy-back agreements, or resale opportunities.
- Lead root cause analysis to address systemic issues leading to inventory buildup.
- Implement mitigation actions such as rework, substitution, redistribution across plants, or design changes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inventory mitigation activities and cost savings achieved.
- Support development and implementation of inventory optimization tools, dashboards.
- Background in supply chain, manufacturing, or materials management.
- Analytical skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP), Teamcentre(PLM) & NX.
- Knowledge of castings, forgings, and other standard raw material specifications is preferred.
- Cross-functional collaboration and project management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and drive initiatives to closure.
