Commissioning & Testing
  • Perform PLC programming, logic testing, and functional checks (Siemens / Allen-Bradley / Schneider / Other).
  • Configure and deploy SCADA/HMI systems (WinCC, iFIX, Wonderware, Indusoft, etc.).
  • Conduct I/O checks, loop checks, and system validation.
  • Execute SAT, FAT, and integrated system testing.
  • Ensure system performance meets design specifications and customer requirements.
2. System Integration
  • Integrate PLC/SCADA with third-party systems (BMS, FAS, PAC, VFDs, meters, sensors, gateways).
  • Configure communication protocols (Modbus TCP/IP, RTU, Profibus, Profinet, BACnet, OPC-UA, Ethernet/IP).
  • Work closely with mechanical/electrical teams for holistic system integration.
3. Troubleshooting & Support
  • Identify and resolve automation, networking, and field-level issues during commissioning.
  • Support system cutover, migration, and go-live activities.
  • Provide remote/onsite technical assistance during warranty and maintenance phases.
4. Documentation
  • Prepare commissioning reports, test protocols, configuration files, and as-built documentation.
  • Maintain version control of PLC and SCADA programs.
  • Support preparation of O&M manuals and training material for end users.
5. Customer & Stakeholder Interaction
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Support technical meetings, site reviews, and project progress updates.
  • Provide onsite training to operators & maintenance staff.
Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of PLC platforms:
o Siemens S7 1200/1500, TIA Portal
  • Hands on experience with SCADA/HMI systems:
o Siemens WinCC / WinCC Unified
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols:
o Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, BACnet, OPC-UA
  • Understanding of electrical panels, control wiring, instrumentation & networking.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, loop drawings, GA diagrams.
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer-handling abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel and work onsite (as per project needs).
Qualification
  • Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in PLC/SCADA commissioning (freshers can apply for junior roles).
  • Certifications in Siemens / SCADA tools (added advantage).
Nice to Have
  • Experience with BMS, IBMS, HVAC controls, metro/airport automation, or utility plants.
  • Exposure to redundant PLC systems (e.g., Siemens S7 1500H).
  • Experience in cybersecurity for industrial networks.
  • Working knowledge of Desigo CC, PCS7, or DCS platforms.
