Job DescriptionMy Client is Asia's first and the world's fastest stock exchange.Its is a diversified financial services company, a market leader in its various businesses.Job Title: Facility HeadLocation: Mumbai, IndiaJob Summary: They are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Facility Head to oversee all aspects of our facility operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a robust background in security, project, and maintenance management. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively escalate issues, coordinate with various stakeholders including government authorities, and ensure the smooth and secure functioning of our critical infrastructure. A background in Civil Engineering is highly preferred.Key Responsibilities:Security Management:- Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive security protocols and procedures to safeguard company's premises, assets, and personnel.- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of security systems (CCTV, access control, alarm systems, etc.).- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions as needed.- Liaise closely with internal security teams, external security agencies, and law enforcement.- Develop and manage emergency response plans and business continuity protocols.Project Management:- Lead and manage facility-related projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.- Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and vendors for project execution.- Develop project scopes, specifications, and tender documents.- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.Maintenance Management:- Oversee the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and structural elements.- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal facility performance and longevity.- Manage relationships with external maintenance contractors and service providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.- Implement energy efficiency initiatives and sustainable facility practices.- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and expenditures.Stakeholder Coordination & Issue Escalation:- Demonstrated ability to effectively identify, analyze, and escalate critical issues to senior management and relevant stakeholders.- Proactively coordinate with government authorities (e.g., fire department, police, municipal corporations, regulatory bodies) for approvals, compliance, and resolution of facility-related matters.- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, vendors, and external agencies.Team Leadership & Management:- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of facility professionals and support staff.- Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the facilities department.- Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is highly preferred. Other relevant engineering disciplines or a strong proven track record in facility management will also be considered.- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in facility management, with a significant portion in a leadership role within a large-scale or critical infrastructure environment.- Proven experience in Security Management is essential.- Strong background in Project Management, with demonstrated success in managing complex facility projects.- Expertise in Maintenance Management, including both preventative and reactive maintenance strategies.- Demonstrated ability to effectively escalate issues and coordinate with government authorities.- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.- Proficiency in facility management software and MS Office Suite.- Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
