Job Description :Job Title: Sous Chef/ Demi ChefJob Location: New Zealand (Candidate must be willing to relocate to New Zealand)Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Sous Chef/ Demi Chef to lead kitchen operations in a high-end, high-volume restaurant. The role involves managing a team of culinary professionals, maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation standards, and consistently delivering on the restaurant’s brand promise.The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background, a passion for culinary excellence, and experience working in dynamic, multicultural environments.Key ResponsibilitiesKitchen Operations & LeadershipLead and manage a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staffEnsure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentationOversee day-to-day kitchen operations in line with company policiesProcurement & Supplier ManagementSource high-quality local ingredients wherever possibleBuild and maintain strong partnerships with local suppliersManage product requisitioning as per delegated authorityPeople ManagementDrive recruitment and onboarding of kitchen staffTrain, mentor, and develop junior chefsFoster a positive, high-performance team cultureFinancial & Operational ControlManage kitchen budgets, food costs, and inventoryMonitor and improve cost control measuresOversee P&L performance related to kitchen operationsInnovation & StrategyRecommend and implement sales initiativesDevelop new menu items and culinary conceptsContribute to marketing and brand development initiativesSalary: 26 NZD (₹1,400 – ₹1,420 approx) Per Hour/ Minimum 40 hours working in a weekRequirementsQualifications & ExperienceMinimum 3+ years of kitchen experience (the more experience, the better). International experience is a plus.Ideally, any level from Demi Chef, CDP through to Sous Chef level.Proven track record in delivering results in premium dining environmentsExperience working with diverse, multicultural teamsStrong financial acumen (budgeting, cost control, P&L management)Experience in training and developing junior chefsSkills & CompetenciesExcellent leadership and team management skillsStrong communication (verbal and written)High level of cultural intelligence and adaptabilityProficiency in Microsoft Office and e-procurement systemsOther Pointer: Only Mumbai location candidates are preferred.
