Job RequirementsWe are seeking an experienced Aveva PI Systems Engineer with a strong background in Asset Performance Management (APM) to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the design, deployment, integration, and support of Aveva PI/OSIsoft PI Systems and related APM solutions, enabling industrial customers to optimize asset reliability, improve operational efficiency, and drive predictive maintenance initiatives.Key Responsibilities
  • System Implementation & Configuration
  • Design, configure, and deploy Aveva PI System (formerly OSIsoft PI) solutions, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, and PI Integrators.
  • Implement data connectivity from diverse industrial systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS, historians, IoT sensors).
  • Develop and configure PI AF templates, event frames, notifications, and analytics.
  • APM Integration & Enablement
  • Collaborate with reliability, maintenance, and operations teams to design and implement APM strategies leveraging Aveva APM tools (Predictive Analytics, Asset Strategy Management, Asset Health).
  • Translate business requirements into digital asset models and performance indicators (KPIs, health indices).
  • Integrate PI System data with Aveva APM, CMMS, ERP, and cloud analytics platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Analytics & Optimization
  • Build advanced calculations, KPIs, and condition-based monitoring rules to enable predictive maintenance.
  • Support development of dashboards, reports, and visualizations for asset health monitoring.
  • Leverage data science and machine learning (in collaboration with data teams) to develop predictive failure models.
  • Support & Governance
  • Ensure data quality, system reliability, and security compliance of PI and APM environments.
  • Provide training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to customer teams.
  • Support system upgrades, patching, and integration enhancements.
Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5–10 years’ experience in OSIsoft PI System (Aveva PI) implementation and administration.
  • Hands-on expertise in:
  • PI Data Archive, PI AF, PI Vision, PI Notifications, PI Interfaces/Connectors.
  • Integration with Aveva APM or equivalent asset management solutions.
  • Building asset hierarchies, health indices, and condition-based monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of industrial operations and asset-intensive industries (Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing).
  • Experience with CMMS/ERP integration (SAP PM, Maximo, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud integration (Azure IoT, AWS, Aveva Cloud, etc.).
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering concepts (RCM, FMEA, criticality analysis) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Aveva PI System (OSIsoft PI) and/or Aveva APM.
  • Experience with data analytics, Python, Power BI/Tableau.
  • Exposure to IIoT, Industry 4.0, or Digital Twin projects.
  • Prior consulting or customer-facing experience in industrial digitization.
