- Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on packaging machinery and equipment.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to mechanical breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical components including belts, gears, bearings, shafts, conveyors, and drives.
- Assist in the installation, alignment, and commissioning of new packaging equipment.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure machinery is running efficiently and issues are reported and addressed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure all work complies with health, safety, and quality standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP, or relevant regulations).
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or improvements to enhance machine reliability and performance.
- Keep tools, workshop, and spare parts organized and in good condition.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals.
- Basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics; some electrical knowledge is an advantage.
- Skilled in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
