Those intrigued by the prospect of contributing to the digital transformation journey of a Fortune 500 company are encouraged to explore more details about the function through the followingPurpose of the roleWe are seeking a hands-on technical leader to transform our global Technology Asset Management (TAM) team. Overseeing IT and OT assets across hardware, software, and cloud environments, this critical role will elevate General Mills security posture and compliance while optimizing asset lifecycle management. Leveraging industry best practices, AI-driven discovery, and automation, you will lead a high-performing TAM engineering team (including ServiceNow, CMDB, HAM/SAM specialists) and partner with global stakeholders in Cyber Security, Infrastructure, and OT operations. This role requires both strategic vision and deep technical expertise and is crucial for minimizing security risks, optimizing IT costs, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESI. Strategy & Leadership· TAM Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute the global TAM strategy, encompassing IT and OT assets, including software asset management (SAM), aligning with Cyber Security and business objectives. Define and track KPIs to measure program effectiveness.· Technology & Innovation: Stay current on emerging TAM technologies, including those related to SAM optimization and automation, and drive their adoption to improve efficiency and effectiveness.II. Technical Management· ServiceNow CMDB Architecture: Oversee the architecture, governance, and secure integration of the ServiceNow CMDB with IT and OT systems, including cloud environments and industrial control systems (ICS). Ensure the CMDB effectively supports software asset data.· Automation & Integration: Implement and optimize automated asset discovery, classification, and reconciliation processes across IT and OT environments, including automated software discovery and license management. Ensure secure data integration from diverse sources. Implement and manage software license compliance processes.III. Team & Stakeholder Management· Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of TAM engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented culture. Provide guidance and support on SAM best practices.· Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in Cyber Security, Infrastructure, OT operations, Software Procurement, and other relevant functions to ensure effective SAM program implementation and compliance.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education – Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
  • 10-12 years of experience in ITAM/TAM, including 3+ years managing teams of 5+ engineers.
  • 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow ITOM (CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping), including scripting and integration experience.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating IT and OT asset data into a central CMDB.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, compliance requirements (NIST, ISO 27001, SOX), and their application to asset management.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CIS-Discovery, CIS-Service Mapping).
  • ITAM/ITIL certifications (e.g., CITAM, ITIL v4 Foundation).
  • Experience with OT/ICS environments, including asset inventory for PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial IoT devices.
  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA)
  • Practical experience applying AI/ML techniques for asset categorization and anomaly detection.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and managing vendor/partner relationships.
