Responsibilities:Organize / conduct toolbox talks to promote safety culture Patrol the Port area twice in a shift and look for any near miss incidents/fire incidents or unsafe conditions or damage to port property and take necessary action Inspect/verify critical activities such as Excavation/Hot work/ Working at Height are carried out with necessary Work Permits and report any deviation to area supervisor/ manager/QHSE head for action Identify and report the hazards in the port operations and take action on high/medium risk areas Investigate hazardous events/accidents/dangerous occurrences to identify the causes and implement control measures to prevent recurrence Take QSHE/fire inspection rounds/audits and send observations to line managers for corrective and preventive actions Coordinate with Dry Cargo department and keep coal fire under control using water sprinkling. Emergency response vehicles, equipment's maintenance as per schedule. Report concerns and incidents to concern immediately and gather incidents evidences immediately after the incident.2. Implement & monitor safety work procedures to control risks and implement risk control measures Assist or coordinate corrective and preventive actions on audit observations / suggestions Respond during safety/Fire emergencies. Lead fire crew in fire/rescue call in the shift and extinguish the same.Check fuel level of all fire pumps, fire tenders, portable pumps and motorcycles and coordinate with the In-charge - Fire Services for raising necessary indent / reservation. Maintain defined water level in Fire water tanks Carry out regular testing of firefighting equipment's as per testing schedule in his shift. Make entry of the observations during such testing / maintenance Impart regular practical and theoretical training to fire operator and drivers with respect to operational aspects of various firefighting and rescue equipment available with Fire Services Follow-up with maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance of firefighting equipment's, appliances and fix systems Any other duties/work that may be assigned by the managementQualifications:EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (degree, training, or certification required) BSC/B.Tech/B.E/Diploma in Chemical/Fire Technology/Fire & SafetyRELEVANT EXPERIENCE: (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required) 3-5 years of relevant experience
