As a Thermal Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on the design, development, and implementation of thermal control systems for payload and satellite subsystems.Why Us?Competitive incentives, galvanizing workspace, blazing team, frequent outings-pretty much everything you have heard about a startup, plus you get to work on space technologyHustle in a well-funded startup, allowing you to take charge of your responsibilities and create your moonshotIdeal Candidate:Someone with a strong foundation in thermal engineering principles, a passion for design and analysis, and a willingness to learn and grow with our team.Responsibilities:Assist in creating thermal models of payload and satellite subsystems, and conduct simulations by determining the appropriate boundary conditionsCollaborate with senior engineers to select and implement active/passive thermal components to achieve optimal thermal performanceAssist in analysing thermal interfaces, heat sinks for electronic packages/avionics, and develop appropriate thermal control schemesContribute to generating thermal control system requirements in collaboration with system, mission, structures, and avionics engineersCollaborate with hardware engineers to design and develop thermal control systemsAssist in generating test plans and executing tests to validate the thermal performance of subsystemsDevelop and maintain documentation of thermal design and analysis processesCollaborate with team members to ensure seamless integration of thermal design and analysis into overall system design and developmentRequired Qualifications:Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Thermal/Aerospace Engineering or a related fieldBasic understanding of thermal management and implementation techniquesFamiliarity with thermal analysis software packages, i.e., Ansys, NX Nastran, COMSOL, or any equivalentPreferred Skills:Experience with thermal modelling, simulation, and validation through qualification testsUnderstanding of thermal design for electronic packages and avionicsBasic understanding of orbital mechanics and space environment considerationsGeneral Requirements:Ability to work in a mission-focused, operational environmentAbility to think critically and make independent decisionsInterpersonal skills to enable working in a diverse and dynamic teamMaintain a regular and predictable work scheduleWriting and delivering technical documents and briefingsVerbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skillsLocation: Hebbal, Bengaluru
