Responsibilities:Primary Responsibilities:HSSE:
  • Personal demonstration of strong HSSE leadership and champion a strong HSSE culture and safety performance in the asset.
  • Has a duty to comply with the Company's Health, Safety, Security and Environment Management System and to do everything in his/her power to ensure that the workplace is safe for everyone. The Candidate must display maturity and competence at controlling incidents to mitigate their effects to personnel, environment and the Company's assets as far as reasonably practicable.
Geology:
  • A strong understanding of geological processes and depositional systems
  • Demonstrable track record on integrated interpretation in exploration and development projects in identification of monetizable prospects.
  • In depth knowledge of Petrel 3D geological modelling or equivalent software
  • Extensive Experience of working on reservoir characterization and other development geology aspects of clastic fields
  • High level awareness of structural geology and geomechanics
  • Understanding of associated subsurface and other related disciplines (eg. geophysics, Petrophysics, drilling)
  • Developing and maintaining state-of-the-art development geology workflows
  • Provide geological input into asset appraisal and development decisions and formulation Field Development Plans
  • Lead resource / Reserve certification projects both inhouse and through reputed third-party service providers
  • Support business development opportunities; Farm in and farm out of assets
  • A good understanding of project economics, business planning and cost management
People Development
  • Self-starter and curious to learning and developing self. Contributes to a high-performance culture through demonstrating initiative, effective communication, collaboration and seeking performance feedback.
  • Performance shall be assessed on a half-yearly basis.
Organisational Structure
  • This position is within the subsurface team and reports to the DGM-Geology who in turn reports to the Head- Subsurface.
  • Peers are Geophysicist, Geo-modeller and Reservoir engineer within the subsurface team. The position will work closely with other members of the subsurface team, Reservoir engineering, drilling and completion team in delivering the work scope.
Qualifications:Post graduate Degree / PhD in Geology or related science from a reputed institute
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in oil & gas exploration and development, of which 2+ years should be in a lead position managing G&G processes of oil and gas assets
  • Strong knowledge of petroleum geology principles, including sedimentary processes, structural geology and reservoir characterization.
  • Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills, with the ability to evaluate complex geological information accurately.
  • Hands on experience on seismic and well log interpretation software.
  • Experience in working closely with Geophysicist, Geomodeller, Drilling and Reservoir Engineers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead projects with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills with solid understanding of geological and geophysical principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with drilling technologies and completion techniques.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills capable of conveying complex geological concepts to diverse audiences.
