Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant – Data Governance SpecialistRole Overview:
The DG Specialist will be responsible in establishing and maintaining data governance practices within the organization. He/she will be responsible for developing and implementing Data Principles and Policy, aligned to the data governance framework and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance. This role will require collaboration with various teams across the company to promote data ownership, stewardship and best practices. Collaborative working is essential for the role along with a proactive can-do approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Need candidates who are very comfortable with metadata, data directories and MDM work.
- Should be able to assess the data is well governed for the selective use cases, by pulling together the data dictionary, the data attributes etc.
- Capable to understand the way around Databases and DB design.
- Identify and collaborate with data owners & stewards across different departments to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Complete end to end Data Governance - CDE identification, Data Quality Requirements Gathering, Metadata & Lineage, Data Cataloguing for CDEs and linking the IDQ rules to CDEs etc.
- Ensure the Data organization knows what & where the data it uses resides through the agreed Enterprise Data Governance tools.
- Work with Data Architecture and Data Stewards, to model the information required to support the organisation.
- Champion training and awareness programs to educate employees on data governance best practices.
- Support the evaluation, selection and implementation of data governance tools and technologies to support data governance initiatives.
- Regularly assess and refine data governance processes and policies in line with the industry best practice, to promote continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
o Data Governance experience with focus on BA work on Finance and Risk reg reporting, Source to target data mapping
- Strong working experience in Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog EDC/ Data Cataloguing with other tools
- Strong hands-on in Informatica Data Quality IDQ
- Good working exposure in SQL skills
- Informatica Axon (Beginner level)
- Good Communication skills
- Banking Experience (preferably in Risk and-or Finance)
- Regulatory Reporting exposure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products , particularly Excel
- Manta Lineage tool experience
- Cloud/AWS knowledge
