- Supervise daily compounding operations to meet production targets and quality specifications.
- Monitor and control raw material dosing, mixing parameters, and equipment performance.
- Ensure timely shift-wise production reporting and documentation.
- Coordinate with QA/QC team to ensure compound consistency and adherence to customer specifications.
- Implement corrective actions in case of non-conformance or process deviations.
- Lead and manage production shift staff, machine operators, helpers, and maintenance support.
- Conduct training for operators on SOPs, safety, and efficient machine handling.
- Ensure proper functioning of compounding equipment like high-speed mixers, cooling mixers, extruders, pelletizers, and weighing systems.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Oversee raw material issuance, handling, and stock reconciliation.
- Minimize wastage and ensure efficient use of additives, stabilizers, fillers, and other raw materials.
- Ensure plant safety protocols are strictly followed (PPE, fire safety, emergency procedures).
- Maintain compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
- Maintain production logs, downtime records, and material usage reports.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly production summaries to management.
- Knowledge of compounding processes and machinery (high-speed mixers, cooling mixers, extruders, pelletizers, weighing systems).
- Expertise in raw material handling: dosing, mixing parameters, additive/stabilizer/filler management.
- Understanding of QA/QC procedures, compound quality standards, and customer specifications.
- Production planning and execution to achieve daily/weekly/monthly targets.
- Supervisory skills to lead shift staff, operators, helpers, and maintenance teams.
- Training & development of operators in SOPs, safety, and equipment handling.
- Clear and good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multitasking environment & should be able to independently handle projects
