Make a difference every day!Job DescriptionSenior Process Associate – Vendor Maintenance (Procure to pay – Accounts Payable)Your department: Finance & Corporate ServicesGlobal Business ServicesYour ResponsibilitiesCreate, update Vendor master records and perform peer reviewDevelops and standardize mandatory vendor master data fieldsCoordinate & validate supplier set ups with Global ProcurementMeeting process TAT and SLA’s on consistent basisDefines responsibility matrix for creating/editing/deleting vendors to ensure segregation of dutiesObtain documents required for establishing new vendors, identification of vendor tax status for proper regulatory reportingEnsures all AP teams members are trained on new proceduresProactively update Standard operating procedures for any changes/updatesReview new vendor setups to ensure accuracy and avoid duplication of vendors in VMFPeriodically cleanses VMF to delete obsolete/old vendorsConducts periodic audits of vendor master file to ensure only valid vendors can receive paymentEnsure compliance with Invesco vendor policiesSupport senior team member in Vendor master related projectsShould be capable enough to take care of all process queries (Onsite/ Onshore) and should be helping the Sr. team membersCapable enough in planning and executing the work assignments during other team member leavesContribute to the ad hoc reports, daily metrics through dashboard etc.Adhering to SOX and Internal Controls of the Process and OrganizationWork on “Continuous Improvement” of processes.Your CompetenciesKnowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); understanding of internal control elements; strong problem solving and analytical skills; good interpersonal skills; ability to manage team members and deliverables; good written and oral communication skills; highly organized; ability to meet strict deadlines; ability to interview, hire, and train employees; excellent customer service skills; ability to plan, assign, and direct work; ability to multi-task3+ years of experience in accounting experience is required; Experience with accounting and financial systems, preferably Oracle; TAPN Certification will be added advantage; Experience in procure to pay process improvement and application systems implementation; knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteAttributesStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsStructured, disciplined approach to work with attention to detailAbility to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and flexible to deliver amid uncertainty (e.g., imperfect data, loosely defined concepts, changing priorities)Multi-tasker and self-motivated; capable of working under limited or no supervisionAbility to assimilate information from multiple sources, identify or develop solutions and then implement themPositive and constructive team player with good communication (verbal/written) and inter-personal skillsExcellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple changing priorities along with day-to-day responsibilitiesSound analytical and reporting skills, ability to understand complicated topics, apply critical thinking and judgementKeenness and aptitude to learn, upskill and mentor in the respective technical domainAble to work in a global, multicultural environmentEducation & CertificationsA Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Business is required with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance preferred. Knowledge of Financial Services Industry preferredCertified Public Accountancy or Chartered Accountancy a plusShift TimingsWork hours will be from 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST (01:30 PM to 10:30PM IST) and may include late hours and/or weekend support – during close. Shift timing may be mapped as per region supported.General Role Profile
