This role ensures the protection of organizational networks, systems, and data by leading security operations, driving strategic improvements, and guiding the technical team in mitigating threats and vulnerabilities.\r\n \r\nSupport and manage day-to-day network security operations across customer environments.\r\nOversee firewall administration, VPN management, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and secure network configuration.\r\nCoordinate and support incident response activities, including containment, root-cause analysis, and remediation.\r\nPerform regular reviews of network security controls and ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards.\r\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineering, SOC,DDI, LBAAS and customer stakeholders, to implement security enhancements.\r\nConduct vulnerability assessments and support patching cycles for network-related assets.\r\nPrepare and deliver periodic reports on security posture, incident trends, and operational performance to customer/account leadership.\r\nMentor L1/L2 engineers and ensure adherence to established processes and security best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and manage day-to-day network security operations across customer environments.\r\nOversee firewall administration, VPN management, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and secure network configuration.\r\nCoordinate and support incident response activities, including containment, root-cause analysis, and remediation.\r\nPerform regular reviews of network security controls and ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards.\r\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineering, SOC,DDI, LBAAS and customer stakeholders, to implement security enhancements.\r\nConduct vulnerability assessments and support patching cycles for network-related assets.\r\nPrepare and deliver periodic reports on security posture, incident trends, and operational performance to customer/account leadership.\r\nMentor L1/L2 engineers and ensure adherence to established processes and security best practices.\r\nSkill RequirementsStrong expertise in enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA,Network RnS).\r\nProficiency in IDS/IPS, VPN technologies, proxy solutions, NAC, and network segmentation.\r\nDeep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).\r\nHands-on experience with SIEM tools and log analysis.\r\nSolid knowledge of threat detection, vulnerability management, and security hardening.\r\nAbility to lead technical teams and drive process improvements.\r\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.\r\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.\r\nOther RequirementsRelevant certifications such as , CCNP Security, CCNA,CCNP or vendor-specific firewall certifications\r\nExperience working in regulated industries or with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS).\r\nAbility to work in a 24/7 operational environment if required.\r\nKnowledge of cloud network security (Azure, AWS, GCP) is an added advantage.\r\nInformation at a GlanceWhy HCLTech?At HCLTech, you'll supercharge your potential.
