Run what runs the world.This Position reports to: Service Team LeaderYour role and responsibilities:In this role, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and facilitate the development, implementation, and smooth onboarding of digital solutions. You will be supporting local sales teams and customers by advising on technical options and cost-effective solutions. Each day, you will support the adoption of digital platform and solutions into the customer business environment along with their subsequent operations and maintenance. You will also showcase your skills by participating in the ideation workstreams from identifying and validating the needs to defining the development. You will collaborate with a range of functions including Sales, Service, R&D, Product management and operations to help grow sales in the local market and additionally support the sales of Digital solutions globally to our organization.This role is contributing to the Process Automation in Measurement & Analytics Division in India Region.You will be mainly accountable for:Manages the new product introduction process to ensure smooth introduction and release of SW solutions into the Factory for global salesContributes to product development by suggesting new features, improvements, and variants based on technical insights and customer needs.Collaborating with internal teams i.e. Manufacturing, R&D, SCM and Logistics to ensure customer satisfaction which includes- providing quotation to customers (LSUs), preparing Full cost model and order management, resolution of customer product/service issues.Responsible for managing the configuration of digital solutions including PC / OS and SW configuration.Supporting the sales team by providing advice on technical solutions, products, systems, and applicationsContributing technical details and perspectives at various stages, and delivering technical presentations, drawings, and demonstrations of complex product issuesOffering specialized training on products, solutions, and services to the local sales and service organizationManages the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting services from both remote locations and on-site visits.Executes service work to meet customer expectations, ensuring satisfaction and identifying potential sales opportunities during service visits.Prepares accurate service documentation and follows safety and environmental standards, reporting any unsafe practices or incidents.Qualifications for the role:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, or a related discipline, with 5+ years of experience in automationProject management experienceProficiency in C#/.Net, WPF/XAML, WCF, WinForms, JavaScript, JSON, XML, HTML5, CSS, ReactJS with knowledge of Web Services (REST, WSDL/SOAP), database engines (MSSQL), and source control (TFS).Strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyze processes, and create detailed designs from high-level objectives.Experience in the industrial automation and analytical instrumentation market would be beneficial.You have 5-7 years of experience in a Digital Technical sales / R&D / Software / Automation field..You are motivated by communication and customer engagement, and you are innovative around client relationship management and problem-solving.You are skilled in communicating in English and experienced in handling both Indian and international customers.More about us:ABB's Measurement & Analytics division is among the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of smart instrumentation and analyzers.
