Position Purpose/objectives :- The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new sales opportunities, building and nurturing relationships with potential clients, and expanding the company's market presence. - The primary objective is to contribute to the organization's revenue growth by generating new business, securing long-term contracts, and increasing market shareKey Accountabilities/ Responsibilities :- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and opportunities for expansion.- Lead Generation : Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and inbound inquiries.- Client Engagement & Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target companies.- Sales Strategy Implementation: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for acquiring new business and increasing customer retention.- Presentations & Proposals: Create and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients.- Negotiation & Closing Sales: Lead negotiations and close sales deals to achieve or exceed sales targets, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment and effective delivery of solutions to clients.- Reporting & Metrics Tracking: Regularly track sales activities, report progress against targets, and provide insights into market trends and competitor activities.KEY OBJECTIVES:- Revenue Growth: Achieve and surpass sales targets through proactive business development.- Client Acquisition: Expand the client base by identifying new business opportunities in untapped markets.- Market Penetration: Establish a stronger market presence in existing and new territories.- Brand Awareness: Act as a brand ambassador to enhance the company's visibility and credibility in the industry.Other Duties may include- Provide feedback and assistance to the departments for the continued support.- Actively pursue opportunities to increase knowledge of business processes and systems - Other tasks that may be delegated by the reporting Manager from time to time.Qualifications, Skills & Experience :Educational Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Dairy Technology, Food Technology, or a related field. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong negotiation and presentation abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.Personal Attributes & Behavioural traits :- Analytical with a high level of attention to detail.- Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.- Be adaptable to changes in priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.- Be able to manage multiple projects with multiple deliverables simultaneously.- Ability to quickly learn new processes and systems.- Excellent communication skills and having can do attitude.- Strong relationship management, project management, and critical thinking skills- Confident and self-motivated professional with self-initiation skills.- Capable of working with a high degree of autonomy and confident in engaging and providing leadership and direction to all stakeholders in the business.
