A Junior Electrician in a scrap processing environment is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty machinery—such as shredders, cranes, and conveyors—to minimize operational downtime.Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on industrial motors, controllers, and 3-phase circuits.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical faults in machinery and PLC systems using diagnostic tools like multimeters.
  • Installation: Install electrical components, conduits, and wiring based on technical schematics.
  • Safety & Records: Strictly adhere to safety protocols (LOTO) and maintain detailed maintenance logs.
Requirements
  • Education: ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: Usually 2–5 years in an industrial setting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in reading electrical drawings and working with heavy machinery in demanding, high-temperature environments.
