Product Development & Engineering - This division brings out conceptual/detailed designs to support BOH/ETO activities based on customer specifications. Technology trends like digitization of workflows, e- Aviation, Sensorization, Product localization, Design automation, Agile, DFX and Model based designs, (MBDs) have increased the operational efficiency and application productivity. What our customer gain from this is efficient digital data exchange, traceability and flexibility in design changes, reduced carbon footprint and higher performance products.
Testing: Group Testing Services is a trusted partner in design, process and supplier validation. The testing team ensures greater focus on customer requirements, quality and operational efficiency. This entails greater support for SKF's processes in a faster manner by applying global test standards, adapted to local customer specific requirements.

SKF Purpose StatementTogether, we re-imagine rotation for a better tomorrow.By creating intelligent and clean solutions for people and the planetJOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title: Product Owner and Front-End DeveloperReports To: Global Manager - Digital Product DesignRole Type: Individual contributorLocation: BangaloreRole Purpose:Join an internal product team of developers, designers, and a design systems manager in creating and maintaining a companywide design system, including in a native web component library that will be adopted by a global suite of digital products to create industry leading front-end experiences.We are looking for a result driven product owner who understands the importance and impact of a well-maintained backlog. You have advanced knowledge of front-end development and can apply it at scale across multiple digital products using native Web Components (LIT). You know your way around advanced JavaScript, TypeScript and are proficient with React. You're someone that has been working with advanced application logic and knows best practices. You're curious by nature and eager to adopt new technologies that enable scalable and the most maintainable solutions. You are as much vested in the impact our product and team intents to achieve as you are focused on the deliverables.You'll support us by being a developer in the team as well has having product ownership responsibilities. This will involve setting and managing the backlog with the support of the design systems manager and your team as well as contributing to the product by participating in coding. In addition, the role requires you to provide advice to other developers outside the team, sharing best-practices and at times jumping into other people's code to provide feedback.Key responsibilities and day to day tasks

Work alongside the design system manager to understand and influence the roadmap, vision, and product strategy that will then impact the priority of the team's backlog
Communicate the product vision, team progress and gather feedback to ensure everyone is aligned with the product goals
Prioritize and maintain the product backlog to reflect priorities
Participate and drive agile activities, sprint planning, demos, etc.
Collaborate regularly with other developers, designers and product owners

Applying your skillset as a developer within the team and support your other teammates in knowledge sharing
Collaborating close with the other team members and work in pair-programming
Contribute to decisions about how we structure our code and how we work smartest
Learn about emerging trends and share that knowledge

Candidate Profile:

Eight+ years' (or equivalent) experience with front-end development
Four+ years' experience leading and managing a team's backlog
Solid experience in JavaScript (browser+node), TypeScript and previous knowledge about LIT Web Components as well as React.
Good understanding of what it means to work with a distributed product (npm/vite/rollup/node) and Github actions/CI.
Demonstrated ability to manage your time and the time of others
Be comfortable talking to and helping developers from different teams as well as giving demos/presentations
Be communicative and have a clear interest in building a product community
Experience in making architectural decisions within front end / "Fullstack"
Experience working within an international companies / European companies
