
Senior Data Scientist - Spend Analyst

- Support the Global Strategic Sourcing team by delivering clear, actionable spend insights across regions and categories.
- Consolidate and critically evaluate data from multiple sources including spend, contract, supplier, and savings data.
- Perform detailed benchmarking against industry best practices, KPIs, and competitive performance metrics.
- Identify savings, supplier consolidation, and negotiation opportunities and proactively surface them to sourcing managers.
- Partner with global stakeholders and sourcing leads to define focus areas and create high-quality analytical outputs that support strategic decision-making.
- Build and maintain dashboards, data models, and reporting tools to support procurement visibility and performance tracking.
- Drive or support global process improvement initiatives, including compliance reporting, automation, policy development, and sourcing platform implementation.
- Establish and refine processes and documentation to ensure global consistency and scalable operations.
- Assist with or lead sourcing-related projects and initiatives aligned with category strategies and procurement transformation goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Analytics, or related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or analytics with a focus on global or regional spend management.
- Strong data analytics and Excel skills; ability to manipulate, interpret, and present complex data clearly.
- Experience with ERP/P2P systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Coupa) and BI/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Excellent cross-functional communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience collaborating across geographies.
- Proven ability to independently manage workload, prioritize tasks, and deliver on tight timelines.
- Project management skills and familiarity with methodologies such as Six Sigma, PMI, Agile, or similar.
- Experience with automation or AI tools (e.g., RPA, Alteryx) to streamline reporting or analysis.
- Prior involvement in benchmarking, supplier performance evaluation, or procurement transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with sourcing policy formation, contract compliance, or procurement governance.
- A strong analytical mindset and the ability to turn data into strategy.
