Posion: IT Manager (Retail Business IT Operaons)
Job Descripon:
The person is responsible for the seamless operaon of retail business applicaons, specifically the
POS system, and the efficient funconing of IT infrastructure across jewellery retail stores.
This role ensures robust system controls, data-driven decision-making, and the applicaon of
modern technologies such as AI and advanced analycs to enhance retail business performance and
customer service through technology advancement. The ideal candidate will be proficient in
managing IT systems and business applicaon like POS, CRM, E-Commerce etc. , integrang AI
soluons, and using data to improve customer experience and operaonal efficiency.
Key Responsibilies:
1. Retail Systems Management – POS, CRM & E-Commerce
  • Oversee the management, maintenance, and opmizaon of POS , CRM and E-Commerce
systems across all retail locaons.
  • Manage integraon between POS, CRM & E-Commerce
  • Manage integraon between POS & backend systems SAP for Inventory & Finance data
points.
  • Monitor transacon accuracy, ensure smooth billing processes, and troubleshoot any POS-
related issues.
  • Work with vendors for POS,CRM & E-commerce upgrades, troubleshoong, and
customizaons based on business needs.
  • Lead rollouts of new features & system implementaons in retail business operaons.
  • Improve Customer Sasfacon through System & Technology.
2. Data Analysis & Reporng
  • Collect and analyse data from ecosystem of retails business applicaons like POS, CRM, E-
commerce for inventory, and customer interacons to idenfy trends and insights.
  • Provide aconable insights and recommendaons based on data to improve sales, inventory
management, customer experience, and store operaons.
  • Develop dashboards and automated reports for senior management and store managers to
track key retail performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead the adopon of data-driven decision-making by working closely with other
departments (Sales, Branding, Markeng, Operaons).
3. System Control & Security
  • Implement and monitor system controls to safeguard retail operaons against fraud, data
breaches, and unauthorized access.
  • Ensure POS systems are compliant with industry standards and other data protecon
regulaons.
  • Perform regular system audits to ensure POS systems, IT infrastructure, and other retail
applicaons are secure and meet operaonal standards.
4. Arficial Intelligence (AI) & Automaon Iniaves
  • Research and implement AI-powered soluons in retail business operaon for ease of
operaon.
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to deploy AI-driven automaon soluons in
customer service, inventory management, branding and reporng.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and advise management on how AI can improve business
operaons.
Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Retail Business Applicaons Management (POS, CRM, E-commerce etc.).
  • Strong Data Analysis & Reporng skills (experience with Power BI, Excel, or similar tools).
  • AI & Automaon knowledge, parcularly in retail (e.g., predicve analycs, Generave AI).
  • Experse in IT Operaons within retail environments.
  • Project Management skills to handle IT iniaves from start to finish.
  • Ability to work cross-funconally with retail, IT, and business teams.
  • Strong communicaon skills for system implementaon.
