- Deep knowledge of the Optics domain covering L0 (Photonic) and L1 (Digital, Time Division Multiplexing) technologies.
- Significant understanding of the ITU-T and IETF base models for Optical transport. Significant understanding of Open Config, Open ROADM and TAPI and IETF/ACTN domain models.
- Knowledge of UML modelling tools and YANG Tools. Ability to edit and publish in the standards.
- Ability to absorb new tools that come along in future. Understand the data and object model of the product and interpret Standard definition/s into functional specifications for the product.
- To lead and educate members of the team in domain, design and architecture. Shape and lead effort of standards and industry specifications - with special emphasis on Optical NMS and manageability of the solution.
- Contribute to functional vision and strategy resulting from standardization consideration. Consistently interacts with key customers with senior experts on standardization-related topics.
- Participate in alignment and clarifying membership issues in Nokia. Influence standard / Open-source policies regionally under guidance.
- Bachelor/ master's degree in engineering / computer science. with 9- 15 years of experience in the telecom industry, dealing with Optics technologies.
- Knowledgeable in Network Management Systems, networking concepts, and related technologies.
- Hands-on experience including Problem definition, Design of the Solution and Interfaces.
- Hands-on experience on Object Modelling and abstraction.
- Detailed understanding of Optical Transport concepts, related technologies, and protocols
- Proficient in scripting/programming in Python and Java.
- Experienced in configuring and/or designing Network Management Systems in carrier networks
