- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in project management within the telecommunications industry, specifically in BSS (Business Support Systems), billing systems, OSS (Operations Support Systems), or related areas.
- Proven experience managing projects that involve telecom infrastructure, BSS, CRM, and billing platforms (e.g., Amdocs, Ericsson, Huawei, or similar).
- Strong understanding of telecom operations, including service order management, billing systems, customer care, and provisioning.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong project management skills with expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with various stakeholders, including technical teams, business units, and clients.
- Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of telecom billing processes, revenue assurance, and charging models.
- Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or Prince2 certification is preferred.
- Scrum Master certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of BSS tools, Telecom OSS/BSS systems, and billing applications.
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Lead and manage telecom projects focused on BSS, CRM, OSS (Operations Support Systems), and billing implementations, upgrades, or migrations.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, budgets, and risk management strategies.
- Ensure adherence to the projects timeline, scope, and budget by closely monitoring project activities and resolving any issues that arise.
- Drive the successful delivery of the project, ensuring that all deliverables meet the companys quality standards and client expectations.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical architects, developers, business analysts, and customer stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives, timelines, and issues.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, managing their expectations and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead project teams, ensuring proper allocation of tasks, resources, and responsibilities.
- Ensure the team remains motivated, informed, and focused on achieving project objectives.
- Facilitate meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and ensure teams have the necessary resources for success.
- Risk & Issue Management:
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, ensuring timely mitigation actions are taken.
- Monitor project performance and provide early warning signals to senior management about any potential delays or resource conflicts.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to relevant quality standards and comply with telecom industry regulations and company policies.
- Conduct project reviews and post-implementation assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Budget Management:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring that the project stays within financial constraints.
- Track project expenditures and provide regular budget status reports to senior management.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare regular progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and clients.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including requirements, designs, changes, and decisions.
- Education:
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Familiarity with telecom industry standards and practices (e.g., 3GPP, TM Forum).
- Knowledge of customer care, CRM systems, and digital transformation projects within telecom.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and platforms in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
