The purpose of the role of Business Analyst Payments - GOS Operations and IT solutions - is to drive and oversee the strategic changes of various payment related projects CBS within MUFG . This role involves leading teams in the implementation of multiple key systems including core banking systems i.e. T24 ( TPH) and payment systems including Finastra GPP, TCS Bancs , Flex cube, associated projects including regulatory demands, issue resolution, enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving customer experiences. This role with collaborate closely with IT, Technology, and Operations teams to align transformation initiatives with business goals, while ensuring compliance and managing risks throughout the transformation journey.Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive the strategic roadmap as SME of Payments domain for Global Operations & Services (GOS) Operations and IT Solutions Team, aligning it with the overall business objectives and technological advancements.
- Lead the BA teams managing multiple projects in Payments Area across various applications including Finastra GPP, Temenos TPH, TCS Bancs RPS etc to achieve smooth migrations of system transitions, changes by liaising closely with all the relevant key stakeholders.
- Manage the BA team so that project deliverables created by BAs in the team are delivered in a timely manner and in good quality.
- Lead initiatives to optimize and transform GOS, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with IT and Technology teams to integrate new technologies, such as automation, artificial intelligence, and blockchain, into operational processes.
- Ensure that technology initiatives are aligned with operational needs and that systems are implemented effectively and securely.
- Lead the planning and execution of operations transformation projects, focusing on improving end to end processes, reducing costs, and increasing operational efficiency.
- Act as the primary liaison between operations, IT, and technology teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on transformation objectives.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure support for transformation initiatives.
- Ensure that all transformation initiatives comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with operational changes and technology implementations.
- Oversee the allocation of resources for transformation projects, ensuring that teams have the necessary skills and tools to succeed.
- Manage budgets and ensure that transformation initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of transformation initiatives.
- Geographies to be covered APAC, EMEA and USA.
- 8 years of relevant working experience in bank / GCC in Operations - Payments, Trade finance etc.
- Experience of implementation / migration of payments project namely Finastra GPP, Temenos TPH, TCS Bancs RPS etc is preferred.
- Basic understanding of CBS products and Regulatory and Internal Reporting (Loans, Treasury, Deposits, Funds Transfer, Export / Import, Accounting / Information, Common Function).
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Project Life Cycle.
- Working knowledge on project tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Visio etc.
- Experience of managing projects and functional teams.
- Good domain expertise in Payments for Asian / European or American markets in with hands on experience in migrating systems.
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, RPA, and blockchain.
- Ability to work closely with Operations, IT and technology teams.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose operational challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Must be a goal-oriented with commitments to duties in a dynamic environment.
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Engineering / Management.
