This role offers the right candidate an opportunity to combine your passion for design with your experience with Siemens NX CAD tools to build photo-realistic renderings, animations, interactive models and virtual reality content and the Cortona 3D RapidAuthor suite of tools for the development of browser-ready and information-rich documentation for laboratory instrumentation across Agilent. This role is passionate about the use of Cortona 3D RapidAuthor tools - a powerful and flexible authoring suite – which enables organizations to reuse 3D CAD data for authoring interactive 3D publications such as interactive parts catalogs, service manuals, manufacturing work instructions, training materials and marketing literature AND Siemens NX Rendering tools which extend the use of 3D CAD data from Product Design to showcase realistic 3D models of our laboratory instrumentation products.
Responsibilities:

Prepare 3D CAD models and facilitate re-use of 3D models for multiple use cases
Build sub-assembly explosions for illustration of instrumentation parts and assemblies for use in user documentation
Build assembly and disassembly procedures from 3D CAD models
Build photo-realistic renderings, animations, interactive models and virtual reality content from 3D CAD models of complex laboratory equipment
Work independently and as part of a team to generate a set of visually pleasing and information-rich artifacts from engineering data
Exhibit strong attention to detail and be an excellent communicator, verbally and through design

Skills:

Experience with Siemens NX CAD required.
Experience authoring documentation in Cortona3 RapidAuthor required
Knowledge of technical publication Industry Writing Specifications a plus
Experience with Graphic Design, Animation or Virtual Reality Software Tools
Passion and experience in graphical design for redefining engineering CAD data into visually pleasing information-rich photo-realistic depictions and animations to showcase sophisticated laboratory equipment
Experience with Teamcenter and Agile PLM systems

Excellent communication and mechanical engineering and design skills
Uses sophisticated approaches and concepts to tackle complex, high-impact design problems
Demonstrates strong attention to detail and personal organization
Self-starter and able to make sound decisions with minimum guidance
Highly skilled professional with functional breadth and niche depth in area of responsibility, plus expertise in complementary fields

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering
8+ years of mechanical engineering design experience with Siemens NX CAD
2+ years of design experience with Cortona 3D RapidAuthor suite of tools
2+ years of graphic or industrial design experience
