Finance Controller

• Product costing development and monitoring/analysis
• Cost budgeting development and sustaining, Costing P&L Analysis
• Analysis of P&L focussing on costs
• MIS and Reporting of key cost metrics

• Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw

• Ability to research root cause issues related to manufacturing variances and provides cohesive reports to the plant controller and plant management
• Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost
• Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
• Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
• Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
• Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports
• Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
• Reviewing the inventory audits according to internal controls policy
• Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues
• Analyze monthly standard vs. actual variances and provide concise, timely and accurate reporting of same.
• Analyze total cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.
• Lead inventory aging process and identify obsolete inventory including inventory valuation
• Working with the Financial controller, develop annual budget.
• Perform monthly budget vs. actual analysis
• Under the direction of the Financial Controller, ensure month end closing process is achieved in an accurate and timely manner
• Complete assigned monthly account reconciliations
• Directly interface with the plant to understand and improve manufacturing costs
• Assist Finance Controller and Site Leader in analyzing and preparing capital expenditure

• Help to cultivate a mindset focused on accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain commitment to compliance including internal audit, external audit, and SOX audit
• Establish control matrixes for the plant
• Manage a team of two people with oversight over AP process and related controls.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

• 4 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Recent experience must include cost analysis and variance reporting.
• ICWAI Certification along with Commerce degree in finance/accounting
• Experience working within large ERP databases.
• Excellent analytical skills
• Highly proficient in MS Excel
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
