- Manage direct accounts and distributors and accomplish sales, and profit targets in the assigned region for Novonesis® Plant Health business.
- Identify new partners/ distributors and unlock new opportunities through a combination of market gap analysis, Novonesis portfolio mapping and partner strength.
- Collaborate with Novonesis® global marketing, regulatory and other functions to support partners in registration of Novonesis® Plant health solutions in Africa.
- Identify and execute on mid-term and long-term bets for Novonesis® plant health solutions, including go-to-market model for those solutions.
- Guide the potential market opportunities and support the regulatory direction for future product registration and efficacy trial.
- Technical Support: Assist customers (distributors and farmers) with product usage, benefits, and application methods as well as participate in farm visits to observe product performance, gather feedback, and provide basic troubleshooting.
- Be able to represent Novonesis® on industry forums and be the voice of our solutions in trade shows and conferences, when needed.
- University degree or equivalent qualification in agriculture, agronomy, plant pathology, plant and soil sciences or related field.
- At least 7 years’ experience in Agri Input Industry /Agri Biologicals related business development/sales, including a solid understanding of biological solutions for plant health.
- Prior experience in African markets and B2B sales management of biological solution to agri-input Industry will be an advantage.
- Technical knowledge of plant and soil health, plant growth and control ingredients and agriculture formulations.
- Track record of building strong customer relationships & techno-commercial execution in the Plant Health segment.
- Strong facilitator competencies with distributors and end-user customers, in building business cases and product launches in plant health.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and demonstrated proficiency in MS Office software (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong project management skills to communicate both internally and externally.
- Willingness to travel ~50% of the time primarily in the region and internationally when required.
- The role reports to the Head – Plant Health, MEIA (South Asia, Middle East & Africa)
- The role can be based in India, Johannesburg - South Africa, Nairobi – Kenya, Egypt. we operate in a hybrid model and mandate to be in the office at least 3 days a week, when not traveling.
- Fluency in English is a must and additional languages are an added advantage.
