A BQS Packing Operator in pharmaceutical production is responsible for operating the Blister Quality System (BQS) machines and ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant packaging of pharmaceutical products (usually tablets or capsules) into blister packs.Operate BQS blister packing machines.Set up the machine for production: change parts, load blister foil, PVC, and other packaging material.Adjust machine parameters as per batch requirements.Follow Batch Packaging Records (BPRs) to ensure correct packaging process.Verify batch number, expiry date, and artwork before starting the packing line.Ensure proper coding, batch integrity, and reconciliation.Use the Blister Quality System (BQS) to detect defects such as:
Missing tablets/capsules
Broken product
Misalignment
Empty pockets
Ensure real-time monitoring of blister quality and reject faulty packs.Follow GMP, GDP, and SOPs at all times.Ensure packaging is done under controlled and hygienic conditions.Record deviations and inform supervisors immediately.Perform machine and area cleaning before and after each batch.Assist in line clearance to ensure no mix-up of products or materials.Check and receive printed/unprinted packing materials (leaflets, blister foil, cartons).Ensure proper storage and usage of packing materials as per SOP.Operate machines safely and use PPE as per SOP.Report equipment faults and assist maintenance if needed.Hands-on experience with blister packing machines and BQS systems.Understanding of GMP, BPR, and SOP requirements.Attention to detail for quality checking.Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
