Role DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Senior Developer who is experienced in Java and Python to create, develop, and manage the Data Vault platform on AWS. This position requires building scalable, secure, and compliant solutions for processing and integrating sensitive patient data. The perfect candidate will have knowledge in cloud-native application development, healthcare data standards, and strong programming abilities in both Java and PythonTechnical Skills

Create, build, test, and launch microservices and data processing workflows with Java and Python on AWS.
Create and uphold applications that are scalable, secure, and resilient, handling patient health information on the Data Vault platform.
Work together with solution architects, data engineers, and clinical teams to set up data integration and transformation pipelines.
Create APIs, batch processes, and event-driven solutions for data collection, validation, and analysis.
Make sure to follow healthcare rules (HIPAA, GDPR) and apply security best practices.
Use AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB for developing in the cloud.
Automate deployments and CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or GitLab CI.
Create straightforward technical documentation and engage in code reviews and Agile development activities.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Nice-to-have skills

Functional experience in pharma domain.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong skills in both Java (Java 8+) and Python.
Experience developing microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch.
Knowledge of healthcare data standards and protocols such as HL7, FHIR, and CCD is preferred.
Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements like HIPAA and GDPR.
Proficient in containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Experience with data processing frameworks and ETL pipelines is desirable.
Skilled in CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform).
Strong understanding of security best practices in software development.
