- A Single View of Enterprise Architecture - Develop and maintain a consolidated view of systems, data, and technology assets (current and future state) to support investment and integration decisions.
- Evolve Common Governance & Standards - Evolve and embed enterprise-level governance and standards building on existing processes.
- Enable Enterprise-Scale Data, AI, & Agentic Capabilities - Coordinate architecture for AI and agentic solutions to ensure responsible adoption and shared value across business units.
- Develop Architecture Capability and Community - Build an empowered network of architects across divisions and functions with shared ways of working, tools, architecture principles and frameworks.
- Deliver Measurable Business Alignment & Value - Enable Technology Value realization and demonstrate clear outcomes such as cost savings through reduced duplication, enhanced Productivity through improved time-to-market, and Efficiency through optimized investment.
- Lead the establishment and strategic direction of the Enterprise Architecture Data Engineering practice to support S&P Global's architecture observability strategy
- Design, architect, build and supportscalable data lake and fabric solutions, including comprehensive data pipelines and knowledge graph ontology frameworks
- Drive the development of semantic layer architecture and build robust bridges connecting traditional analytics to knowledge graph systems
- Oversee dual-track data engineering initiatives serving both human-facing business intelligence and machine-facing knowledge graph systems
- Collaborate with teams to define data governance standards and ensure enterprise-wide observability data quality and accessibility
- Mentor and guide fellow data engineers in advanced data engineering practices, fostering innovation in graph database technologies and modern data platforms
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent technical experience in enterprise data architecture
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering with at least 3 years in senior or roles managing data architecture initiatives
- Proven expertise with graph database technologies and knowledge graph development
- Strong hands-on experience with modern data platforms including Databricks and Microsoft Fabric
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data pipeline development, semantic layer design, and enterprise-scale data processing
- Familiarity with modern SDLC CI-CD pipelines as associated tools such as GitHub and Azure Dev Ops
- Demonstrated experience architecting dual-purpose data solutions serving both business intelligence analytics and machine-learning/AI systems
- Preferred experience with a major Enterprise Architecture management tool (e.g., LeanIX, Ardoq, Alfabet, or equivalent).
- You will be part of the team implementing the Architecture Observability (AO) strategy, transforming enterprise architecture into a dynamic, queryable system by leveraging data from across our technology estate. By ensuring strong data governance, ownership, and quality, this role enables real-time insights and trend analysis, moving beyond static documentation to a live architectural model.
