Role: Automation Lead (Accel Portfolio Company)Work Location: Chandigarh (No remote / no hybrid)About the RoleAs the Automation Test Lead at Sprouts.ai, you will be responsible for leading our automation testing efforts and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. With a minimum of 6 years of experience in automation testing, you will lead a team of automation engineers, designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the automation testing team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.

Develop and implement automation testing strategies, frameworks, and best practices to ensure the reliability and scalability of our software products.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, Quality Assurance, and DevOps, to define automation requirements and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using playwright/Selenium.

Identify opportunities for test automation and drive the adoption of automation across all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Establish and enforce automation testing standards and guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality in automation deliverables.

Analyse test results and defects to identify root causes and provide recommendations for resolution.

Monitor test automation execution and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or bottlenecks.

Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in automation testing, incorporating them into our testing processes and methodologies.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define key metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of automation testing efforts.

Act as a subject matter expert on automation testing, providing guidance, support, and training to team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 6 years of experience in automation testing, with expertise in designing and implementing automation frameworks and test scripts.

Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium or Playwright.

Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build and deployment processes.

Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders at all levels.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Proven track record of successfully leading automation testing initiatives and delivering high-quality software products.
