Position Title: Sourcing & Sales Manager - Basmati Rice Location: Vidyavihar, MumbaiExperience: 8-10 years in export of Basmati rice or related commodity business. Job Type: Full-TimeJob Summary: We are looking for a Sourcing & Sales Manager with extensive experience in the export of Basmati rice. The ideal candidate will oversee sourcing, pricing, delivery, and supplier relationships while securing profitable pricing for both branded and private label products. Key Responsibilities: - Lead negotiations with major millers for both Basmati and non-Basmati rice to secure competitive prices, ensuring optimal profit margins for operations in both Dubai and India. - Develop sourcing strategies in alignment with market trends and pricing opportunities, targeting both branded and private label opportunities. - Post management green signal, coordinate with buyers for final order approvals and initiate internal business approval processes. - Drive efforts to clear existing Basmati rice stock in Dubai under house brands quickly and efficiently. - Ensure all shipments are dispatched and delivered within set timelines, maintaining quality and compliance with buyer specifications. - Oversee that brand deliveries (own brand and private label) adhere to quality standards and meet committed deadlines. - Regularly attend and contribute to all sourcing and sales review meetings (daily/weekly/monthly). - Respond actively to business-related emails and events. Mandatory Skills: - Proven experience in exporting Basmati rice from India, with strong knowledge of the supply chain, documentation, and international standards. - Sound technical knowledge of rice quality, including grading, aroma, grain structure, and cooking performance. - Strong understanding of global market dynamics, particularly what works in regions like the GCC, Southeast Asia, and the USA. - Strong negotiation, sourcing, and vendor management skills. - Ability to handle high-pressure timelines, multiple geographies, and brand commitments. - Excellent communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders. - Working knowledge of logistics, freight forwarding, and customs processes related to agri-exports. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.- Exposure to both branded and private label product lines. - Strong business acumen with a focus on profitability and market expansion. - Willing to be based in Mumbai and travel as required for business.
