By harnessing automation, CI/CD pipelines, and agentic AI, we’re creating solutions that drive efficiency and innovation across our business.Job DescriptionWhat Youll Be Doing (position summary):The Intermediate Quality Engineer Performance is accountable for leading and managing Performance testing and activities across a program, workstream, or multiple projects/initiatives This role ensures the development, execution, and continuous improvement of test strategies, plans, automation, and quality standards to support the delivery of high-quality technology solutions The incumbent adds value by driving best practices, compliance, and innovation in software testing At CIBC India we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role Details on your work arrangement (including on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview
How Youll Succeed (responsibilities):
Test Strategy, Planning, and Execution:

Develop, publish, manage, and execute performance test strategies, test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, automation scripts, status reports, defect logs, and exit reports
Identify and obtain required test data and test environments
Develop, publish, and manage testing estimates and financials

Team Leadership:

Manage and lead the performance testing activities of a workstream, program, or multiple projects/initiatives
Build team and individual capabilities by providing development opportunities such as special projects, and training

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:

Ensure adherence to performance testing standards and support the implementation of new standards
Recognize and identify areas where policies, processes, procedures, tools/methodologies need to be changed or developed, or can be improved Identify and implement continuous improvements
Track and report performance metrics and KPIs such as response times, throughput, resource utilization(CPU/RAM) etc
Identify, manage, and implement remediation for any noncompliance items and deviations 2

Technical and Domain Expertise:

Provide technical input and feedback on design, assess impact to testing, and find performance automation solutions based on the solution being implemented
Identify and implement automation, AI, or other emerging solutions to expedite testing, improve quality, and reduce costs
Apply extensive knowledge of software quality assurance, quality management, and problem- solving methodologies

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Collaborates with project managers, developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define test requirements, resolve issues, and deliver high-quality solutions
Interacts with internal business and technology teams to coordinate testing activities and ensure alignment with project goals
Works closely with external vendors or partners as required for tool integration, test environment setup, or specialized testing services
As an employee of CIBC, the incumbent must comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines, and controls
As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness

JOB DIMENSIONS:

Responsible for the successful delivery of performance testing activities across programs or workstreams
Provides advisory and support services to business and technology partners to ensure the achievement of quality objectives

Experience: 5 years of experienceWho You Are (skills/qualifications):Banking applications, Jboss Webservices, API/Webservices REST and SOAP, DB SQL/non-SQL , and Batch testing automationMust Have Skills:

5 years of Performance testing for (Web, API, JBoss) applications, along with understanding of system performance and capacity
NeoLoad scripting, JMeter scripting, OPC tools
Expert in JAVA, Python,VBScript Proficiency in web services and API testing
Expert in NeoLoad, JMerter, GitHub
Database testing -SQL knowledge
Open Shift experience: capacity/calibration and tools (kaili, grafana)
Advanced Performance Engineering: hands-on in performance testing, tuning, and optimization across enterprise-scale applications specially cloud based apps 3

Good to have Skills:

Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and/or other similar Agile, development, and QA tools
Significant exposure on Performance testing on large-scale high-volume applications
Programming language skills with a strong preference for web-based programming (OLB QA), mobile programming (mobile QA), and API programming (API QA)
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (Azure, GitHub-Action)
Containerized and microservices architectures (Docker, Kubernetes)
Significant exposure on Performance testing on large-scale high-volume applications (PTE)
