Maintain forecast accuracy using historical consumption and market trends.Material Planning:Ensure raw material availability (metals) through efficient procurement planning.
Optimize inventory levels to balance costs and production needs.Supply Planning:Coordinate with production (forging, turning, machining) to align supply with demand schedules.
Maintain OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) delivery performance.S&OP Coordination:Integrate demand and supply plans across Sales, Production, Procurement, and Finance.
Participate in cross-functional S&OP meetings and planning cycles.Capacity & Inventory Management:Monitor plant capacity and foresee bottlenecks; plan for contingencies.
Track inventory KPIs—turns, days of supply, and stock levels.KPI Tracking & Reporting:Track metrics like forecast accuracy, inventory turns, OTIF, and schedule adherence.
Prepare and analyze MIS reports for management insights.Process Improvement:Identify and implement opportunities via Lean, TPM, or Six Sigma principles.
Support adoption of digital planning tools and models for efficiency gains.Cross-functional Collaboration:Work with procurement to align material purchasing with production needs.
Liaise with logistics for timely dispatch to customers.New Product Readiness:Involve early in new product launches to ensure material and production readiness.Compliance & Audit Support:Ensure planning practices comply with internal SOPs and customer audits.Eligibility & SkillsExperience & Domain Knowledge:6–13 years of experience in SCM planning—preferably in automotive components or metal parts manufacturing (forging, turning, machining).
Familiarity with powertrain, driveline, or gear production processes.Technical Skills:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP (particularly MM/PP modules).
Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving capability.Core Competencies:Excellent demand-supply balancing, inventory optimization, and capacity planning skills.
Exposure to S&OP processes and OEM/Tier-1 engagement.
Working knowledge of Lean, JIT, Kanban, or TPM is advantageous.Soft Skills:Clear communication and stakeholder management.
Adaptability to evolving production schedules and high-pressure environments.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Educational Background (Preferred):Engineering degree (Mechanical/Production/Industrial) with SCM/Operations specialization or relevant certification (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
